Submissions are currently CLOSED

Sky’s the limit on content but the piece MUST 1) feature consent between all parties, and 2) you the author as well as the characters must be over 18

Fiction Submissions

• 4,000 word maximum

• NO submission fees!

• Please only submit one story per submission call

• WE PAY $20 for an accepted story! (we plan to raise this amount in the future as we settle in), plus a free contributor EBOOK issue

• We do accept reprints and will pay $10 for a reprint acceptance — please make sure the rights have reverted back to you, and let us know where it originally appeared so we can credit accordingly. Reprints will be published sparingly (only 1 or 2 stories per issue depending on number of submissions received) as we would prefer to prioritize previously unpublished work

• Please use standard manuscript/double space format

• Submission via nygelmag@gmail.com : Please put “FICTION SUBMISSION” in the subject line

• We allow simultaneous submissions! Please just inform us if your piece is accepted elsewhere

• Because this is an 18+ mag, upon a story’s acceptance we will ask for verification of your age before the contract is signed. Let us know if you wish to publish under a pen name and any names and pronouns you use (including social media handles if you’d like us to shout you out!)

Art Submissions

If you’d like to submit a portfolio for consideration to be commissioned for NYGEL cover art, please send to nygelmag@gmail.com care of our Art Director, Baaarbra M. We review porfolios on a rolling basis.
